Dye Fest Aftermath

The Dye Fest was fun but one hectic day. We showed up early full of ideas about our dye projects and left home with many yet to start or unfinished dye jobs. So the next day, I dyed three sessions of crock pot dyeing and learning something new each time. I start with primary colors such as blue, red, turquoise, fuchsia, yellow and violet. I love the blending and the creation of more colors as they interact but still retain their brilliancy. Crock pot dyeing is not for those wishing for repeatable result. But each time I dye, I can make some judgement about the outcome and exert some control over the result.

Left column, more blended colors of national blue, turquoise and yellow. Right column, spotted colors of violet, fuchsia, and yellow.

Another batch with national blue, bright red, and yellow
