Beret Season

Burrrr! It has been cold in Southern California and we are ditching our flip flops for boots and pony tails for berets. These are super quick Olympic Tams from NeedleAddict. I made some modifications to the pattern at the top to have a six-point decrease for a more tailored look. I bought the yarn from Jo-Ann Fabrics store (surprise!) by Stitch Nation-Debbie Stoller (actually from Red Heart). It is reasonably priced at $5 per 100 gm and I’m pleased with the quality. The colors are stylish, the wool is soft and not scratchy at all, and the bamboo is shinny and has excellent drape.

The aqua blue is Bamboo Ewe, 55% viscose from bamboo/45% wool. The dark pink is Full o’ Sheep, 100% Peruvian wool.
