Financial District

I took my camera to work today to take a few photos of the financial district in downtown Los Angeles. Of all the sunny days in southern California, today was windy, cold and wet. But the light is soft and the gray sky lends a modern touch to the buildings.

From a distance, most people see downtown as office towers surrounded by one-way streets and strangled by five major freeways. However, downtown is much more than that and the financial district is a small slide of life here. I’ll try to take my camera to work more often to document the scene here. It isn’t peaceful and romantic like the beach, but it is no less beautiful.
