The Smart Brush

The Smart Brush is a neat tool in Photoshop Elements to “paint” colors back into a black/white photo. I love it because it is much easier than using all that layer masks in Photoshop.     Love this picture….is yellow the original color of the flowers?

    Yes! The daffodils are yellow. In the days before the Smart Brush, you essentially paint over the whole image in black/while then peel the layer above to reveal the color underneath. But now, you just use the Smart Brush tool to select the area outside of the flower and apply the black/while effect. Much faster and more accurate too.
