Estonian Mittens

I finished knitting the Estonian Mitten from Nancy Bush’s class at the Madrona Fiber Retreat in Tacoma last month. Actually, they were completed while ago but haven’t have a chance to photograph them because it’s a pain to take a picture of yourself. My hands looks like claws in this photo. Anyway, I set the shot using a tripod and two off-camera flashes. One shot through the umbrella in the front and the other was on the floor in the back with a red gel. I learned the technique from a $10 workshop given by Scott Robert Lim, who is an amazing photographer as well as a funny guy. Best $10 I ever spent.
