Macro Lens

After a not so successful first attempt at macro photography, I’ve been reading up on the subject and learned a few things. First, you’ll need a tripod and might have do a long exposure to get everything sharp. I’ve thinking about this shot for a while and I think I got it. There is still room for improvement and that will take a lifetime. This is just a stalk of switch grass in dew. In dry southern California, dews are hard to come by and this dew was created using a humidifier.

The lens is an inexpensive $19.99 Opteka from Amazon.

OMG!!! This is awesome! I love it. Are you sure it is such an inexpensive lens?

  2. Great shots! All three compositions are simply stunning, but the third one is my favorite; I love the pink and green colors in it.
